Red velvet pancakes | recipe

                  Bonjour readers! 

Would you have guessed that I am a tad bit obsessed with red velevt? My ig is full of cupcakes, pancakes and even macarons which are around the "red velvet " family .. 

So today is bank holiday Monday , I woke up motivated, ready to work.. And then I craved something red velvety .. Last week I made some delicious red velevt cupcakes.. The recipe was posted on le blog so check it out.. Is only a couple of blog posts away :) 

So anyway this morning instead of revising (my actual goal) I made these gawjus red velvet pancakes in the morning :). So I thought I'd share the recipe with you all : enjoy .. Oh and if you do end up trying it out hash tag ( #jadorevintage_x) so I can see them :) 

 

What you need : 

• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 3 Tbsp cocoa powder
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 2 cups milk
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar ( after making one It wasn't sweet enough for me, so i added more to taste.. ) 
• 2 large eggs
• 1 1/2 Tbsp red food coloring
• 2 tsp vanilla extract
• 1/3 cup salted butter, melted

Method : 

To be honest I just dumped all the dry ingredients together and then the wets ones. Lol mix well - make sure theres no lumps ;) 

After that get a small frying pan and butter it up .. And cook them up :) 

Oh enjoy these babies with some basic cream cheese frosting or even my personal fave : NUTELLA !!! Mwa x

My life consists of serious studying and teaching. However I always have to make time to express my love for makeup ( on My face) now come off it yeah, we all have them no "makeup" chilling in my sweatpants day .. Lol oh wait .. Maybe not.. 

So like I mentioned before I am always busy , but still always have to look after my skin, it's essential :) 

So here's just a quick over view of my recent "go to products" . Nothing fancy just simple .. Enjoy : 

1- for the face it has to be My Elizabeth Arden 8 hour daily cream (for the face) - totally love this suff, it goes on the face smoothly, not greasy at all! And looks refreshing, also I have very dry skin sometimes and this works like a charm! 

2- my YSL false lash effect mascara . LOVE ! It's my fave mascara ever , perfect even in the first coat. To be honest I never really used to wear much mascara before but I've lately been rocking the full lashes look .. And it's working well for me ;) 

3- working around , cleaning , typing and writing my hands are going through a lot, and I get horrible dry patches on My knuckle area.. My recent handcream love? This Vaseline one that i got from my recent trip to KSA- not foud of the cream smell.. But works amazingly well.. Blends in to skin like butter and it's cheap as chips! 

 

4- lastly its something for the lips- I suffer from a lot of dry stuff going on My face- including chapped lips . So I've been testing the "body shop lip butters" and yes it works as the name! Like butter ! Glides on well and smells amazing ! Like butter cream ! Ahhh it's gawjus ! And it's very moisturizing for the lips! ahh #jadore <3

The secret told | red velvet cake

If you follow me instagram (@jadorevintage_x) you would have already guessed that I totally LOVE red velvet cake :) and who wouldn't ? It's red! And it's cake.. 

But if you have been a follower of my blog and stuff you will already know that My baking skills are zero. Yes zilch ! I am

Horrible at it, and trust me even instant cake mixes don't work for me.. I have tried and failed many many times. And

This yeah I promised my self I wouldn't go near baking at all. Nope. What was the point? I'd put My heart and soul into baking and then what ? Flop. Totally misery and frankly story of My bloody life :( 

But anyway last week I posted a picture of these babies : 

And many of you said they looked amazing and wanted the recipe .. So here it is : 

3 eggs 

A few table spoons of oil 

Water 

AND : 

you may ask, hey I thought she was jinxed at ready pack mixes too? Lol I am

, I can assure you of that, BUT, this one Alhumdulillah worked out for me. Like a charm. I was very skeptical about

Buying this in the first place .. But I though what they hey, I love red velvet cake, and I dont really have anyone close to me that can make it for me so might as well try it my self :) 

And yes readers . A pack of Betty Crocker has got me smiling since the day I made theses babies.. 

And that's the secret,you guys wanted to know how I made them , I know

It's a little cheeky but hey at least I told you the truth ;)
